Our Story. Four decades of relationships.

When Central National Bank was founded in 1977, we were one of the first businesses to bring life to West Waco. From the very first day our doors opened, the neighborhood was at the core of our mission. Just take a look at our logo—the cross in the middle doesn’t just represent the crossroads of our address, but the crossroads of our community.

As Waco’s Leading Independent Bank after two decades of growth, Central National Bank expanded into Temple and Austin to serve Central Texans along the I-35 corridor. With over 40 years of service and over $1 billion in assets, our customers still find our friendly employees and exceptional customer service indicative of the same hometown bank atmosphere Central National Bank was founded upon. Add to that an unyielding commitment to technology as the ultimate enhancement to professional expertise and personal service, and you’ve got a truly unique style of relationship banking at every level.

We don’t settle for relationships built at CNB, though. The real measure of our success is found in our community. If our community is successful, we’ll be successful—it’s not rocket science. We leave that stuff to the guys up the road at SpaceX. At the end of the day, we’re real people who call this community home.

That’s why it’s important to us that we support community initiatives and stay involved in civic organizations. We believe that our community involvement makes a unique impact, keeping our neighbors equipped to make smarter financial decisions.

As Central National Bank embarks on its fifth decade of independent banking, we’re continuing the hard work and commitment that brought us this far. We realize that our real success is measured in the relationships developed along the way, in Central Texas and beyond.

At Central National Bank, our mission is threefold:

Provide service in a manner that customers recognize to be superior to service provided by our competitors.

Provide opportunity for all CNB employees to be the best they can be. Maintain a comfortable work environment, an attitude of mutual support, and opportunity for advancement.

Be efficient in the way we work. Find easier, faster ways to do our work, avoid waste to keep our rates and fees fair for our customers, and provide a fair return to our shareholders.
