Central National Bank’s Mark Benning was recently selected as a Waco Under 40 honoree, a distinction bestowed annually by the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce to “rising young leaders who have distinguished themselves in their careers and in the community.”

Benning, who serves as Assistant Vice President – Real Estate and Commercial Lending for Central National Bank, joins 13 other honorees who will be formally recognized later this fall at a reception hosted by Bird Kultgen Ford.

“I’m incredibly honored to be part of such an esteemed group of honorees,” said Benning. “I’m also especially thankful to work for an organization that encourages its employees to be involved in the community. Waco has been great to my family and me, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

Benning began his career at CNB in April of 2012 as part of the Credit Analyst team. In 2017, he relocated to Austin and joined the CNB Austin team as a Real Estate & Commercial Lender. The following year, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President. In June of 2022, Mark moved back to Waco, where he—in addition to his lending responsibilities—currently serves as the location manager for CNB’s Bosque banking center.

Mark becomes the fourth Central National Bank employee to receive the Waco Under 40 recognition, joining CNB’s Matt Helton (2022), Caitlyn Remson (2020), and Bryan Fonville (2019).
